David Roderick (pictured above) was born in Plymouth and settled in Ynysmeudwy, South Wales, in 1939. He was fascinated by photography from a very young age and had his first camera, a Kodak Box 120, in 1955.

A much-loved member of the local community here in Pontardawe, David can regularly be spotted travelling between destinations, laden with photographic equipment.

All the photographs in this gallery are by David, many taken close to Llangiwg Church. The 1990s photograph of Llangiwg Church in the main gallery was also taken by David.
